The Copper John is one of the most popular patterns ever created. It was created by John Barr in the 90's and has shown to catch a lot of fish. With all of the weight on the fly, it sinks like a bullet. Over the years, more and more variations of the Copper John have been created making it one of the most popular and effective modern pattern to this very day. This variation we have tied is our top selling and most effective pattern and works very well on rivers where Stoneflies are present such as the Boise South Fork. This variation is tied on a competition jig style hook to prevent snags and have better hook sets. Along with the wire body, it's also tied with a slotted tungsten bead to help it sink faster and stay in the strike zone longer during each cast.
