The Buggy Carrot is a new addition to our arsenal and has not disappointed us. This fly pattern is a variation of several Orange Carrot patterns out there today. We wanted to mix and throw in new ideas to make an Orange Carrot variation that was extremely buggy like a Hare's Ear Nymph. After making several different patterns, we have found one that worked extremely well. The Buggy Carrot. This is a very buggy fly and we find that the messier it is, the more life it has to it. The movement this fly brings to the water is fantastic and it has a bright orange ribbing to the body that attracts fish very well. We usually like to fish this fly on the top of the rig and we have found that sizes 12-14 work best. If the simple flies aren't working and you want to throw in a fly with lots of action, this will quickly become your go-to fly.
